Nihowdy! I hail from the humid southeast of Charleston, South Carolina, a surprising (I know!) location for a Chinese, Japanese, and German American family to land.
I spent most of my childhood days outside in the water or in dance and music lessons.  Even though I love a warm southern climate, my passion for music and performance drew me at the ripe (maybe too young?) age of 13 to move to Northern Michigan to study at Interlochen Arts Academy.
Throughout high school, I was introduced to the wonderful world of acting and the not-so-wonderful world of frostbite. After four years in the tundra, I wanted sunshine again and sought out sunny southern California to continue my acting training, picking up a B.A in Peace Studies [Conflict Resolution] on the way.  These two degrees have influenced me immensely; I look at activism as an artist, and I look at art as an activist.
When I'm not working, you may spot me at Korean BBQ, Shabu Shabu, or Dim-Sum, eating my way through SoCal with my aunt and friends.
